Central Christian was founded in 1908 in Glendale and met at the corner of Colorado and Louise for many years. In the 1970's the congregation moved to 1479 E. Broadway across the street from Glendale High School. Our new facility is located at 5027 N. New York Ave. in La Crescenta, CA, above Foothill Blvd., just north of Clark Magnet High School. Central Christian is a active & growing congregation made up of people from many different backgrounds. We celebrate our common faith and respect theological diversity at Central Christian Church. Central Christian Church is a part of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). The Disciples of Christ church is an American denomination with origins on the frontier in the early 19th century. Since the beginning, the Disciples of Christ have endeavored to increase respect, understanding, and unity among the believers of Christ. The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) is the oldest protestant denomination founded in North America and has thousands of members across the United States and beyond.
